I’m a Scot, I was born in the late 1950s and I’m a lucky man because I have the best job in the world. About seven years ago I gave up my day job to become a full-time professional writer. That was one of the scariest things I have ever done but, with the encouragement and assistance of my very understanding wife, I have finally reached a point where I can support myself through writing.
I write mainly non-fiction on a range of topics including history and military history. I’m a ghost writer so you won’t see my name on most of the more than one hundred books I have written though I have also been a contributor to websites such as War History On-line.
I built kits from the age of around ten to sixteen. Then I stopped though, in some strange way, I never ceased regarding myself as a kit builder. Recently I got back into it again and that’s really what MKW is about; the experiences of a born-again kit builder.
I currently live in Andalusia in southern Spain, I have been married for thirty years and I have two grown-up kids who never cease to amaze me because they’re way more sensible than I ever was or probably will be.
I hope you enjoy MKW.
