I’m a Scot, I was born in the late 1950s and I’m a lucky man because I have the best job in the world. About ten years ago I gave up my day job to become a full-time professional writer. That was one of the scariest things I have ever done but, with the encouragement and assistance of my very understanding wife, I have finally reached a point where I can support myself through writing.
I write mainly non-fiction on a range of topics including history and military history. I’m a ghost writer so you won’t see my name on most of the more than two hundred books I have written though I have also been a contributor to websites such as War History On-line and Plane Historia.
I built kits from the age of around ten to sixteen. Then I stopped though, in some strange way, I never ceased regarding myself as a kit builder. Recently I got back into it again and that’s really what MKW is about; the experiences of a born-again kit builder.
I currently live in Andalusia in southern Spain, I have been married for more than thirty years and I have two grown-up kids who never cease to amaze me because they’re way more sensible than I ever was or probably will be.
I hope you enjoy MKW. You can leave comments on any of the posts and if you have ideas for new reviews or articles, please use the “Contact” page to get in touch. I’d be delighted to hear from you!
